A cocktail created by Ian Fleming's James Bond character in his first book 'Casino Royal' in 1953. Bond spells out his ingredients to the bartender and names it after his love interest Vesper Lynn. A cross over between the Gin Martini and the Vodka Martini that Bond drinks in later adventures.

For James Bond's original, use Gordon's Gin, Smirnoff vodka and Lillet Blanc (replacing the now lost Kina Lillet)

Prepare

Fill both your martini glass and shaker with cubed ice (lots!)

Delicately, pour your Gin and Vodka into the shaker. Add your vermouth

Close the shaker and shake hard and fast for 7 seconds

Empty the ice in your martini glass back into the ice bucket. Strain your Vesper from the shaker into the glass
