60 ml 2 oz Mezcal
20 ml 0.75 oz Triple Sec
Triple Sec
Triple sec is a generic term for a sweet, clear orange-flavored liqueur. It contains 15–40% alcohol by volume level. It is made by macerating sun-dried orange skins in alcohol for at least 24 hours before going through a three-step distilling process. The most popular brand is COINTREAU
20 ml 1 oz Lime Juice
10 ml 0.5 oz Agave syrup
1 Lime wedge

1 Prepare

Cut your lime wedge ready for garnish and juicing

2 Ice

Fill your rocks glass with and your shaker with cubed ice

3 Add ingredients

Pour all your ingredients into your shaker

4 Shake hard

Close the shaker and shake hard for 7 seconds

5 Strain

Take off the small top lid off the shaker. Strain your Margarita from the shaker into the glass

6 Garnish and serve

Garnish with your fresh lime wedge

The Cocktail

In Tijuana, a waiter was “captivated” by the beauty of a young dancer named Margarita Carmen Cansino and created this cocktail in her honor. This beauty would later become one of the most famous actresses in Hollywood, Rita Hayworth. Here is a new version of this classic, with Mezcal. The mezcal and its smoked appearance gives a new touch to this refreshing cocktail
