The Gimlet Cocktail

Fresh lime was rationed on-board ships to Sailors to prevent scurvy in the Early 1800's , which was then mixed with the local 'grog. Although the Officers would mix with their Gin, Rose's lime cordial creating this simple sharp/sweet balanced Gimlet. 

Bartender Tip:

Rose's was the original lime cordial used to create Gimlet's. Try with different styles of Gin!
